Tying Belts On Different Recorder Types

I have done this for two years, and so far, I have NOT had any students swing their recorder (although I have to watch myself because sometimes I am tempted to swing mine).

Anyway, you just tie the string around the bell of the recorder. This year, I have two fifth grade students who are new to our school. They brought Angel recorders with them that do not have a bell that gets wider at the bottom. So, I was a little unsure how to tie the thread on to make it stay. However, a student solved this for me. He tied his string on up at the higher part of the recorder where it is wider, and then slid it down to the bell area until it stayed because it was so tight! Works well.
