Recorder Karate - How Long Does It Take?

Q: How long does the entire Recorder Karate system take? I used it student teaching, seeing the students once a week and missing a lot for snow days, and it took about the whole eight weeks, but they weren't to the level I wanted them to be. Anyway, how much time should I allot for recorders?
A: You can really cover it in about 12 weeks, or you can do it in a much longer time span and tie in lots of other areas of your curriculum as you go. I have started doing this more and more because I love teaching with recorders, and so do the kids! If you are crunched for time, you can spend less time but, like you said, the kids might not be at the level you want when you have to quit. (And they don't like to quit either!)
