Recorder Karate Belt Extension

I haven't tried this idea yet, but I plan to after Christmas. Once students have earned their black belt they can get beads by composing their own original recorder songs. I will set guidelines (eight measures long, must include notes...). Hopefully, that will be something different for them. Of course they must be able to notate and play the piece.
